CEGER Ltd is a Ugandan-based consultancy firm specialising in governance, environmental research, public health policy, climate change, and monitoring and evaluation. This Website serves as the organisation’s digital presence and provides the following:

  • Information about CEGER’s services, team, and past projects
  • Blog articles and research publications on governance, environmental, and public health topics
  • Interactive governance maps covering Uganda and the African continent
  • Public REST APIs for accessing governance map data
  • A contact form for general inquiries

The Website does not offer user account registration, e-commerce functionality, or any form of online transaction processing.

4. Permitted Use

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable licence to access and use this Website for personal, educational, or professional reference purposes, subject to the following conditions:

  • You may view, download, and print pages from the Website for your own personal, non-commercial use, provided you do not modify the content and you retain all copyright and proprietary notices.
  • You may share links to pages on this Website freely.

6. Governance Map Data and API Usage

CEGER Ltd provides interactive governance maps for Uganda and the African continent, along with public REST APIs that allow programmatic access to governance-related data. Use of this data and these APIs is subject to the following terms:

Data provided as-is. All governance map data is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. CEGER Ltd makes reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy and currency of the data but does not warrant that it is complete, accurate, up to date, or free from errors. Data may be derived from publicly available sources, third-party datasets, and CEGER’s own research, and may be subject to revision without notice.

Attribution required. If you use, display, or redistribute governance map data obtained from this Website or its APIs, you must provide clear and prominent attribution to CEGER Ltd. A suitable attribution notice is: “Data source: Centre for Governance and Environmental Research (CEGER) Ltd — https://ceger.org”. You may not claim the data as your own original work.

No misrepresentation. You may not present governance map data in a manner that is misleading, deceptive, or that misrepresents the findings, scope, or conclusions of the underlying data. You may not alter the data in a way that distorts its meaning and then attribute the altered data to CEGER Ltd.

Fair use of APIs. You agree to use the public REST APIs responsibly and not to make excessive or abusive requests that could degrade the performance of the Website or its services. CEGER Ltd reserves the right to impose rate limits, restrict access, or discontinue API availability at any time and without prior notice.
